Kirby and the forgotten country in the test: So round like his hero
__
Despite 3D levels, the Jump & Run remains true to his predecessors: Kirby has this time again his usual skills and can swallow opponents to take over their forces. In this way, he can spit around fire, turning into a spiky ball or shooting with pistols. What’s new is that we also suck certain objects and thereby can take their properties. As a result, for example, we can shoot as a car through the levels of braises or as a vending machine cans. In the city, which acts as a Hubwelt, a lot of different mini-games await us.

Kirby Star Allies
In Kirby Star Allies, we have to save the Dream Land in front of a dark threat that makes his inhabitants evil. Luckily Kirby has the ability to convert them to the good again and even make them to his allies that then support us in the fight. With the help of these companions, we can combine different forces and unleashes particularly spectacular attacks. On request, human teammates can take over the role of allies in the local co-op. Of course, Kirby has not relieved his old skills and can suck his opponents and spit them out again or take over their forces. Overall, we struggle through 35 colorful levels.

Kirby Fighters 2
The Fighting Game Kirby Fighters 2 is reminiscent of Super Smash Bros., but is still more accessible and is ideally suited by the short struggles as a pastime for between. For complexity, especially the many characters, special skills and weapons ensure. For example, you can compete with a Ninja Kirby, an archer Kirby or a Beetle Kirby. A lot of fun makes the local multiplayer, but of course there are online matches. In story mode, we fight for floor for floor a tower, we get stronger, but even with ever stronger boss guns to do. Super Kirby Clash
The free playable Super Kirby Clash was based on the 2017 Team Kirby Clash Deluxe published in 2017, but replaced the technique underlying the handheld game, but by the Engine of Kirby Star Allies and inserts new bosses and objects into the game. On the other hand, little championship has changed at the game principle: four kirbies together in battles against huge and varied bosses, many of which are known from the long history of the series. If we have no human players inside, the Ki takes over the role of the other three. For every fight we get experience points that make our Kirby stronger. This is necessary, because after the easy entry, the degree of difficulty increases rapidly.

Kirby’s Adventure
The Jump & Run published in 1993 was the first Kirby game, in which we could absorb and combine forces by sucking enemies. The more than 20 different Special Powers are not only used in combat, but also in the solution of the puzzles. In addition, the classic shines through its varied levels and the many mini-games that give it to discover. Incidentally, our mission is to save the star’s scepter and thereby the dreams of residents of the dreamland. Technically, Kirby’s Adventure is quite well aged compared to other NES games. For the time the graphic was impressive.
KIRBY’S DREAM Course
The Kirby’s Dream Course, which was published in 1994, is not a Jump & Run, but a kind of mini golf game, where Kirby acts itself as a ball. From the top-down perspective, we shoot him about courses full of enemies we have to do. Only then if only an opponent is left, this turns into the hole we need to meet. As if this game principle was not wrapped enough, there are also special forces that allow Kirby, for example, to transform into a tornado or a UFO. Alone for this idea of ideas, it is already worthwhile to give Kiby’s Dream Course a chance.
Kirby Super Star
The Kirby Super Star published in 1996, which is also known in Europe as Kirby’s Fun Pak, is again a traditional 2D platform – at least mostly. Kirby Super Star consists of six different modes, which are basically their own games. For example, Spring Breeze is a remake of Kirby’s Dream country with new gameplay elements, gourmet race is a racing game and Milky Way Wishes contains levels in the style of a shoot ’em ups. The gambling mechanics known from Kirby’s Adventure such as the sucking of opponents and the take over forces can be found again in Kirby Super Star, but depending on the mode, there are variants and of course their own new ideas.
KIRBY’S DREAM Country 3
The two predecessors were still released exclusively for Game Boy, Kirby’s Dream Land 3, on the other hand, came in 1997 for Snes – but only in North America and the year in Japan. After Europe, the Jump & Run came only many years later with the Virtual Console for Wii. So you have the opportunity to retrieve a classic well-known classics at least in this country. This time, Kirby’s rescue to the world are a different ally to the side, including a hamster, an owl and an octopus. The mechanics known from Kirby’s adventure are also there again, graphically uses Kirby’s Dream Land 3 but the possibilities of SNES us is again a bit prettier.
