National Team: Flick calls world champions
Football coach Hansi Flick has proclaimed the greatest possible goal for the World Cup year just under three weeks before the first international team in 2022.
“It’s nice, as the players match how all the specifications are doing well. You can feel a break-in mind. Everyone wants to be in Qatar. Everyone wants to become world champions. That’s our great goal. said Flick in the “ARD Flicks show”.
“We want to try that we always bring our performance in the game,” said the former, very successful coach of the FC Bayern Munich and former World Champion Assist from Joachim Löw.
The 57-year-old, as Löw’s successor with the DFB team with seven victories in the first seven international matches under his leadership, has set a star record as a national coach. The national team will meet on March 21 in Frankfurt / Main for the first time this year together to prepare for the test matches in Sinsheim against Israel (March 26) and then in Amsterdam against the Netherlands (March 29).
“We have in Nations League, but also in March with Holland a very strong team as an opponent,” said Flick. In the Nations League, Germany meets in June and September in return on European champion Italy, the EM Finalists England and Hungary. The World Cup finals in Qatar begins on 21 November and ends with the final on 18 December. The preliminary groups will be drawn on April 1 in Doha.
